This is a quaint family owned restaurant. The service was outstanding and I was pleased to see that the servers work as a team, clearing dishes from each others tables, getting drinks etc... Even the owner was helping. To me that is how it should be! Our food was delicious and came out quickly. We definitely will be back!

We have been going to Dukeys Cafe since I was a kid. It's been a long time I will not elaborate any further on that. It has seen many generations of our family. The food is great! Especially the seafood, always fresh and delicious and their menu is reasonably priced . Linda and Wayne the owners are super nice people and always make diners feel welcome and at home. The staff are kind and attentive. Most of the deserts are homemade like the strawberry shortcake, excellent but they were sold out unfortunately last time I was there. As long as Dukeys Cafe is on Pennsylvania Ave in Wilkes Barre, our family will be going there. Thank you Linda and Wayne.

Dad and I were looking for a late lunch and I found this place on Yelp. Definitely a place for locals. Clean, good food , reasonable prices and friendly service. A varied menu. Dad loved the crab cake sandwich and coke slaw. I had a perfect Ruben.

Went to dinner there tonight with a few friends. Food was awesome. We all ordered something different, everyone was extremely pleased with our choices. I ordered the short ribs - Melt in your mouth. The strawberry shortcake was not only delicious but large enough portion for two people. The hostess and waitstaff could not have been nicer and efficient. Highly recommend

How did I find this place? I asked a local where was the best place to eat. They sent me to this bar and restaurant. I was not disappointed. I was with a group of 6 friends and they also loved their experience. The clams casino were very well done. We all enjoyed them. Several different dinners were ordered. I had the chateau steak for $12.95! It came along side a nice baked potato and homemade pickled beets. The dinner rolls are excellent and made in house. Other dinners ordered were the turkey club, which was packed with real roasted turkey. The open faced roast beef and mashed potato looked really nice and both guys that ordered it loved it. Finally another fellow ordered liver and onions and he said it was great. The bar service couldn't have been more friendly and inviting. We were from out of town and we were treated like family. We had such a great time. Bartender Colleen and Jo-Jo were on top of their game. We will most certainly be back when we travel to Wilkes Bare again. Dukey's is by far a neighborhood gem! Second trip, we go once a year when we are in the area. Bartender Jolynne is wonderful. Food was great and the people are terrific. Don't change a thing.

An institution of the local community. You can expect friendly service and good food. The menu is extensive and affordable. I've gone here several times over the years and never left disappointed. Dukey's is a working class joint, always kept in great condition thanks to great staff and passionate owners. Affordable meals in a comfortable environment goes a long way. This is the type of restaurant that is satisfying to patronize, supporting a community business while getting value and quality for your money. Have a Stegmaier beer while you're there, the brewery is just next door!
